Description

Up for auction is a rare, STILL SEALED original 1969 US pressing (Probe CPLP-4514) of Rare Bird's self-titled debut album. The album has a gatefold cover, and it is still sealed in its original shrink wrap. There is a small bb hole in the bottom left corner.

Rare Bird's self-titled debut is an uncompromising, uncommercial album of proto-prog at its very best. Most of the songs are melodic and pretty, yet they always have an edge to them that clearly puts them into the progressive rock category. Rare Bird was a very unique and talented band that was perhaps over-looked due to the fact that guitar rock was all the rage in 1970. If you like Genesis, Yes and King Crimson, this is an album which you will definitely want to own.

On a grading scale of M-, EX, VG+, VG, G, and P the condition of this album is as follows:
