We have been going through some of our old Soul, Pop, Rock and R&B vinyl records and are proud to offer up on Ebay this week this very cool old decent condition copy of the Beatles Vee Jay Records 1964 Christmas 45 sleeve.

There is NO record here, NO vinyl. Just the picture sleeve.

This Christmas sleeve was used by Vee Jay records to help sell off some of their remaining records during the 1964 Holiday season. VeeJay’s lawsuit with Capitol allowed them to release Beatles records up until the end of 1964, but not after.

To help sell remaining 45 stock and to cash in on holiday record buying, Vee Jay used this sleeve to sell various different 45’s that they still had in stock. This sleeve has the salutation “The Beatles Wish You A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year” with pictures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in the corners. Quite Nice!

This record sleeve is a genuine, USA-made product, a relic of a bygone historical era in American music and our shared cultural heritage. It is not only a terrific musical and artistic artifact but also a solid investment whose value is likely to increase over time.

RECORD COVER GRADING:

This picture sleeve is fresh, clear and sharp. The Cover artwork colors are full and bright. There are no serious manufacturing defects. There is no fading or discoloration. There is NO ring wear. Some one did write the name of the record ‘Do You Wanna Know a secret’ on the top of the back of the sleeve (see pics), but other than that, the sleeve is very nice.

The corners are relatively sharp. Other minuscule defects may be present but nothing distracting. No split seams, No drill marks or indents, No dirt or dust spots, No stains, No stickers or labels.
