Description
Seven volumes (49 discs) of Artur Schnabel's peerless recordings for The Beethoven Sonata Society, regarded as the finest examples to be found on record.
Re-issued several times these are the original subscription sets produced between 1932 -37 at The Abbey Road Studios and sent to subscribers to the series.
Each volume is complete with the booklets written by Eric Blom and all the discs (aside from one tiny needle chip to one discs outermost rim) are in excellent to near mint condition, retaining all their original gloss and sheen.
Artur Schnabel needed to be convinced to perform in the studio and given that electronically recorded music was still in its infancy perhaps his doubts could be understood but he need not have worried as the results were magnificent and prompted him to continue performing for discs
The sets will be securely wrapped for sending in a well padded box within a box but due to the weight will have to be sent via courier ( Parcel Force)
