You are bidding on a original UK release on London Records (HA-U-8141) of a Phillies recording of A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR YOU. This is a MONO recording and has never been played.

Originally issued in 1963 under the title A Christmas Gift for You From Philles Records, it wasn't until the Beatles' Apple label reissued it almost a decade later that these gritty girl-group versions of Yuletide classics were really appreciated. This is considered to be the best Christmas album, and one of the best rock 'n' roll albums, ever released. This album has grown in stature over the years and has been reissued countless times. In 2003, the album was ranked number 142 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
This item is the original 1963 UK release - not a re-issue !! It is still in its original shrink wrap, but not sealed. The cover is in very good condition, no bumps, bruises or markings. The inner sleeve has a slight crease - from the factory. The record label is purple and has no markings. This is a sleeve album. The album has a black LONDON in the upper right hand corner. It has "mono" stamped in the upper left hand corner. This is the only still in shrink (but not sealed) copy of this currently on eBay. This is the only one with a LONDON stamp on the cover currently on eBay. It is the only one stamped "mono" currently on eBay.This is the real thing. Treat yourself to a Merry Christmas. If you only buy one Christmas album this year, it should be this one.
