Description
Kent boys Bern Elliott & The Fenmen covered the James Brown track "(Do The) Mashed Potatoes" in 1963, and it appeared only on their Decca four track EP.
However, that version was (imho), weak, slow, and, in all honesty, a pretty run-of-the-mill cover.
This single sided acetate features a completely different version, UNRELEASED anywhere!
Upbeat, raucous, loud, and energetic... and such an improvement on the available version.
Mod stomping, Beat blasting goodness!
The acetate is in VG condition, unlike many others I've come across in my 40+ years of trading records. No lifting of the surface, a few surface marks with VG playback.
