The "Missing Link" of Ohio Psych You are bidding on what many collectors call a "Private Press" or "Vanity Press." Most of the "I Been Drinkin' Today" copies people discuss are the later WSA 101 release. This is the ultra rare (possibly 100 units pressed) w/ RG-series labels, before the band even had a formal label deal. In the world of ultra-rare 45s, there is often a "first state" and a "second state." The First State (this Copy): The band likely prioritized "Cold Spirit" as their lead single. These were often pressed in tiny quantities (likely 100 copies or fewer) to be handed out to radio stations or sold at local gigs in Columbus. The Second State: Later, "I Been Drinkin' Today" was recognized as the "heavy" hit. When the record was picked up for the slightly more "formal" WSA label release, the sides were often flipped, or "The World" was substituted to create a more commercial pairing.
