Description
This is a rare 1985 promotional LP, marked "not for sale" on the label. It was issued to promote a Hall & Oates album, "Live at the Apollo." The promo contains just four songs. Two of them, "My Girl," and "The Way You Do the Things You Do," are Temptations songs, and two of the members of that group, David Ruffin and Eddie Kendrick, sign backup. The other two songs are 'Every Time You Go Away," and "Adult Education." The promo jacket is black and white but similar in design to the color jacket for the finished album. My research found only two examples of this promo for sale anywhere online, and one of them, on eBay, is missing the jacket yet still priced at $164. The cuts I test-played sound great. Examined in strong sunlight, the vinyl is glossy with just a few very light, inconsequential marks, so I grade it excellent. The jacket is clean and bright with a small price sticker at the top right and moderate edge wear that gets a little worse at the corners. I will combine shipping on multiple orders. For $4.60, I can send you one to three LPs in a package designed specifically for the purpose. Shipping for more than three adds a dollar per LP. I don't use stock photos. All pictures are of the item you will receive. Thanks for your interest.
