PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Original 1972 first pressing in laminated custom die-cut gatefold of the second TOMORROWS GIFT Lp. Finding an original copy these days is not an easy task - especially a MINT copy as we present here!
In the great scope of early "EGG" and "SOFT MACHINE" Tomorrows Gift, while delivering their own sound still displays similar veins of boundless creativity. If you don't believe that jazz-rock can be both fascinatingly innovative AND a lot of fun, then listen to the first side of this album. And then let yourself be sucked into the vortex of spacey atmospheres of the flipside!
Zabba Lindner (drums), Bernd Kiefer (bass) and Manfred Rurup (keyboards) were one fun-house kitchen of a creative team indeed. And toystore manager Conny Plank added the pickles and toothpaste sauce, just to make sure that your neuro-aural stomach complex won't forget the experience before long. The music on this landscape of ideas is often paranoid sounding like a hybrid of early 70's Can and Egg/Soft Machine. Experimental bass, keys and drums groove jams with good structure...some of the finest unsung Krautrock/jazzy prog fans have had the chance of hearing. The second track (Der Geier Fliegt Vorbei) is especially hypnotic, spacey and powerful. Valuable buried treasure if you ask some. Now if only one could track down a copy....

This is TOMORROW'S GIFT's second and final album released in 1973. It apparently sounds nothing like the debut which had a hippie-prog vibe to it with female vocals. The band completely broke up after that one. The bass player and keyboardist decided to keep it going by adding a drummer and carrying on as a trio. "Goodby Future" by Tomorrows Gift from 1972 is pure creative Krautrock adding complex jazz flavors into a progressive - spacey-psych context ; Zappa and Supersister structures, amid skilled playing and interwoven with freaky acid-sound effects :::
"Jazzi Jazzi" opens with keys as a beat comes in with an edgy amusement hovering all around it. "Der Geier Fliegt Vorbei" opens with keys and bass with flute-like sounds appearing when drums build and listen to that fuzz-tone bass work - amazing sound here! A change after 3 minutes as the tempo slows and it becomes creative adding experimental alterations which give fold in becoming darker and more solemn. Great sound the rest of the way - fantastic ! "Allerheiligen" opens with deep bass sounds and synths with drums. Some fuzz a minute in (and later) as drums pound away. It settles after 2 1/2 minutes with intricate sounds.
"Wienersatz" is just over 2 minutes of pure psychedelia. People are talking as drums and bass sounds come and go. Synths come in as odd vocal melodies arrive. Side two features "Naturgemass" the almost 17 minute epic. This also is very psychedelic to start out as sound-effects buzz into an avant-acid world. Rising drums and bass start to make a melody as dissonant piano comes and settles then starts to slowly build with synths and a trippy beat. You can hear water and nature sounds in the background. The final segment of the song is powerful and dissonant with some fuzz. "Didden Fur Dunden" is very strange and psychedelic. This song is one freaked out trip man! For some reason there is a connection between the fried egg on the album cover and this song.
A must for Krautrock fans!

The WHITE is very snow white after 44 years and overall has an eye-appealing fresh appearance -- there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy ...
