We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Final collection copy

HARDLY (EVER) SEEN, super limited 1971 PRIVATE PRESSING LP housed in a stunning large burlap bag with stenciled name across front...this is the very first Lp by guitarist Roy Buchanan who went on to fame as a blues guitar artist...here is, totally unknown at the time, his back up band the Snakestretchers in famous form:::

Roy Buchanan & the Snakestretchers were recorded at the crossroads Bladensburg, Maryland Nightclub in 1971 and released on the micro "Bioya Sound" PRIVATE PRESSING label, issued no less in a burlap bag! The album reflects Roy Buchanan's mostly unknown first produced independent recorded album, recorded on a standard reel to reel tape deck. The crude production adds to the overall charm - giving it character - a feel like your in that smoked filled room sitting right up close to the stage! The playing is quite awesome with the then unknown Buchanan on guitar & vocals with back up musicians aptly named "The Snakestretchers" : Ned Davis Drums - Dick Heintze Organ , Teddy Irwin Rhythm Guitar - Chuck Tilley Vocals Rhythm Guitar - Peter Van Allen Bass. The "Snakestretchers" name originated in the band room at the Crossroads Nightclub in Bladensburg, Maryland.] Every break the band sojourned to the band room, drank beer and told "road stories". Guitarist Chuck Tilley said one night he “dreamed he was hired as a snake stretcher”.

Oh yes, the recording is primitive, but it so evokes those blessed nights sitting transfixed at The Crossroads club in Bladensburg, Maryland. This LP is CLEARLY Buchanan at his earliest and at his best. Buchanan's style and original Telecaster sound comes through and is sure to please any fan of the late great Roy Buchanan. Their take on Neil Young's "Down by the river" and Buchanan's own "Since you've been gone" are the stand out tracks, but the absolute highlight is listening to his magnum opus play Roy: "The Messiah Will Come Again." Each note stabs. And then the song explodes inside of you. And makes you wince, cry and smile at the same time. Thinking did recording in studios flummoxed his sound a bit. But thesis tracks are the early, penetrating, unvarnished real thing! By the way, we figure Roy Buchanan's version of "Down by the River" has a more emotional vocal melody * and * a more emotionally interesting guitar jam Compared to the still-awesome Neil Young version. Not kidding - this is the ultimate version of the song.
