We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. - Original 1969 "Ohr" Records Krautrock classic...Very acidic hippie album from Germany, absolutely unique stuff.
- Amon Düül began as a politically-minded hippie commune in Munich in the late 1960s with a number of artists and about a dozen musicians among its members.
In 1968 the musicians split into two distinct acts, adopting the names Amon Düül and Amon Düül II. The first group would produce a few albums in the late ’60s and early ’70s, the other, Amon Düül II came out with more LP titles and a legendary acclaim.
Of the two groups, most prefer Amon Düül II whose records are much more musically accomplished and innovative. Without a doubt the Amon Düül album, "Paradieswarts Düül" is among one of the great “50 Kosmische/German psych Classics.”
Like all of their records, Paradieswaarts Duul is comprised of live jams (again, contrasting with often more detailed production of their similarly-named counterparts). There are no less than 12 musicians credited, although what you hear often sounds as though it could have been created by three or four. While recognizing the essential flavors within, Paradieswarts Düül is “fabulous” in its own rite and evokes the Velvet Underground by way of comparison, and we're all 'high' on it.
Side 1 is taken up by the 17-minute long “Love is Peace,” a genuinely pleasant, creeping paced and hypnotic jam featuring acid-weaving guitars, discreet bass, humble percussion (including bongos and African drums), and cameos by a boisterous flute and an uncertain piano. (A harp is listed, too, though not sure where to find it.)
The title gives you an idea of the hippie-fied theme of the lyrics (sung in English) -- the kind of thing you might imagine being sung around a campfire fairly late in the proceedings. Around the halfway point comes a transition introduced by a mildly trippy application of echo, perhaps calling to mind some early Beefheart jams.
- It’s a nice, mostly charming session.
Side 2 is split into two lengthy tracks, the first being a slow, nine-minute head-zone, titled “Snow Your Thirst and Sun Your Open Mouth” during which you’ll probably groove-on with the infectious sound.
The third and final track, “Paramechanische Welt,” features seven-and-a-half minutes of guitar strumming with some wordless (or at least indistinct) vocalizing.
As a whole, Paradieswarts Düül’s has historical entertainment value, with a groove on with “Love is Peace.”

Note; "Paramechanische Welt" bears more than a passing resemblance to "Sandoz in the Rain" off Amon Duul II's Yeti. Little surprise because Amon Duul II's Chris Karrer and John Weinzierl make an appearance on this cut. It was basically in exchange for two of the Amon Duul I members appearing on "Sandoz in the Rain" (it's the closest thing to Amon Duul I that Amon Duul II ever did) - CONDITION:
- The cover: very thin and laminated; rated: VG++ and only because a little thin strip of discoloration at very edge of pocket opening, otherwise it's "EX" (excellent) and back cover is Excellent, there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ...
- The vinyl: Rated: near M- TOP COPY, very clean... both OHR labels are clean
