Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Original 1969 first pressing and very first album by hippie psych group Mother Tuckers Yellow Duck who released two highly collectible albums around the turn of 1970 ... there are astounding acid laced fuzz rock originals among the fine self composed tracks that flow together nicely ... decidedly best of the two albums here and one to own....
Formed in Vancouver in 1968, the first MOTHER TUCKERS YELLOW DUCK LP has become their most sought-after item. Described as a "stoned on grass mixture of psychedelic rock, blues-rock with hippie head rural flavours" their material is an enjoyable and diverse mixture of styles. The first album is crammed with excellent guitar-work throughout and fine harmony vocal arrangements, the highlights include the uptempo "Times Are Changing," the great rural-rocker "One Glass For Wine," - the dynamic acid-fuzz infused "One Ring Jane," (an all time psychedelic nugget), the sublime melancholy of "Funny Feeling" and the climatic slow-burning finale of "Somebody Think," (another killer acidrock nugget) which can also be appreciated on Echoes In Time, Vol. 1. All said, it's a recommended album to savour. The group was slated for inclusion on the Cool-Aid Benefit album but either Capitol or their management put the nix on it!The first thing to notice is that the band name is one of those really obvious puns on "Motherfucker" that were so obvious back in the '60s. It worked both for the Mothers of Invention and for the Fugs, certainly better than any of the bands that eschew chicanery and outright put "fuck" in their name today do.
The second thing to notice, based on "Times are Changing", is that Mother Tucker's Yellow Duck has heard Davy Graham's "Anji". Whether this is Graham's version or the Simon and Garfunkel cover is open to dispute. More broadly speaking what we're dealing with a classic '60s West Coast psych band lineup with an emphasis on dual lead vocal harmonies. Both the singers are guys, but then again there weren't any chicks in Ride either and they still came out just fine.
There's plenty of great psychedelic laced rock here, not to forget the blistering, fuzz solo on the dual-vocal take on "Magnetic South". - Times Are Changing

CONDITION: The cover: The thick cover in VG+(+) has some light shelf wear & having a small delete drill at bottom right that you don't so much even see ...still very collectible, no split seams, no bends, no writing ....
The vinyl: all glossy, VG++ having a few very minor scuffs, nothing much and only visible, plays very enjoyable without alarming distraction....
