PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1968 first pressing on the obscure, highly collected PARAGON label...
Jack Boswell at the ALLIED Records helm (Reign Ghost, Plastic Cloud), got word of the mighty McKenna Mendelson Blues band and their rising flame of popularity, decided to cull their 1968 sessions and released it on his PARAGON RECORDS 'Tax Shelter' imprint (kinda like a B movie atmosphere for music releases). Supposedly, this was done without the knowledge of the band members, but remains far and away their best album.
SO, if you like raw, intense, scorching blues-rock, this one is loaded with nasty fuzz guitar and rumbling bass & raw throaty vocals, could this one be for you???
This album, simply titled BLUES, is so raw and powerful it utterly blows away their most popular album " STINK" Lp ... Their "BLUES" Lp has the sound of FULL THROTTLE to the floor and rattling, the band, exploding....
Example, "Bad Woman" is highlighted by over-the-top gritty distortion on the guitar...same for the lead off, "Drive You" which is a power infused onslaught... All throughout, BLUES on PARAGON is the sound of tight musicians on the bubbling brink with energy and explosive talent and the vibe of being young at the time of the cultural 'garage band' revolution of the '60s....the extended workouts in 11:04 "Bad Women Are Killing Me" and 10:12 "Help Me" are miles ahead similar bands in '68/'69
One other main reason that makes BLUES standout, is that it has the involvement of one bass master, DENNY GERRARD , who hailed from the band THE PAUPERS. Denny, was voted best bass player, in a Jazz publication (no less!) 2 years in a row ...in the USA.

CONDITION: The cover: rated clean VG++ solid all over with nothing more than a bit of light past handling, bit more but not extreme on back - which was relatively looked after, ...easy keeper copy = no split seams, no bends, no writing...
The vinyl: plays loud, clear and ballsy...visually clean VG meaning although their are light (light) hairlines visual, the record by and large plays excellent/enjoyable... clean Paragon labels.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
