Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE ....Original 1968 first pressing in thick gatefold sleeve of the surprising folk-psych-pop enchantress who hung out at the famous New York Greenwich Village scene back in it's heyday, getting turned on, hip, and psychdelic....The albums power lies in the effortless blending of such diverse ingredients as folk, torch, psychedelia, pop and jazzy inflections into a clever but never "difficult" whole. Don't believe any negatives; bona fide masterpiece.kinda like a freakychick Dusty Springfield meeting the Linda Perhacs sound ...some of the song structures are downright strange, and perhaps a little unsettling.

Nancy Priddy's sole, obscure solo album is the kind of idiosyncratically weird effort that could have only been made in the late '60s, when all sorts of pop and underground influences were combining with a naïveté unreplicated ever since. In some ways it's an off-the-wall singer/songwriter album drawing from both folk-rock and psychedelia. The trippy lyrics are often Through the Looking Glass-like dreamy jottings from a woman who's just gone to the other side of reality, overawed and only slightly intimidated. The sense of a child let loose to romp in the fields is amplified by Priddy's oft-girlish vocals, as heard on cuts like "Ebony Glass," and trendy psychedelic-style echo and high-pitch modulations are added to some of the instruments and vocals on various tracks. Structurally, the songs zigzag all over the map, shifting tunes, meters, and moods unpredictably, and sometimes with little rhyme or reason. Yet at the same time, it's sometimes dressed up in unabashedly late-'60s production. It's often as if the creator and her coconspirators couldn't quite decide whether they were aiming for the pop market or the freaks. Sometimes the result's haunting and far-out.

The extrodinary producer Phil Ramone who was working with Enoch Light at the time (artists like Free Design) was also a part of this album, giving it the 'groove'. Nancy's daughter, Christina Applegate was named after track four of the record "Christina's World" ... Nancy also sang back up on Leonard Cohen's debut album Songs of Leonard Cohen...

As far as hip sunshine psych-pop goes, this record is outstanding. Not only can she sing but there are some dazzling breakbeats that make the LP super collectable to DJ types...

CONDITION: The cover: The thick gatefold cover is solid and sharp all over having but a tiny bb delete drill at top right and a sticker stain, VG++ and otherwise very strong....no bends, no seam splits and no writing 

The vinyl: all clean across both sides, M- looks TOPS and plays super nice...clean DOT labels.
