*** RARE as a LAMINATED 1967 BRITISH first pressing on the TRACK Records label and in glorious MONO from 43 years ago .... the British original contains MORE and different tracks from the USA pressing, making a unique rarity and the MONAURAL issue provides different song mixes plus a bold poweerful punch in the production which vastly rates from the stereo release.

Most 1967 pressings, like this one, of this popular "party" record are found worn out or in less than desireable condition in current days...This 43 year old BRITISH artifact of the sixties psych scene has been in relatively careful hands and makes for a valuable collectible.

Jimi Hendrix's debut recording was an instant classic, and is as startling today as when it first hit the streets in 1967. ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? is probably the most rock-oriented of Hendrix's official studio releases, but its influences are incredibly diverse. "Third Stone From The Sun" recalls the supple octaves of acid trips psychedelia... the churning tribal polyrhythms of "Manic Depression" evoke John Coltrane; "I Don't Live Today" employs ritualistic Native American drumbeats; and the title tune borrows the Eastern airs of sitarist masters...all enveloped with sonic rushes of magic fingered feedback frenzies...

CONDITION: THE COVER: the fragile UK laminated sleeve has a few light handling lamination creases in the way old UK sixties albums get...some overall light prior use, VG+ including some light shelf wear on the non-laminated back cover...otherwise solid and readily collectible
THE VINYL: is all very clean and glossy except for, a few inches at the very edge only of side A only > the first track has a discoloration pressing light spot that makes for 5 revolutions a quick swish at the opening intro of the song, all considered minor since ALL the rest of the album is smooth clear and shiny clean "EX" (excellent) playing outstanding...
