PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Very rare and HIGHLY sought Original 1967 first print ... one of the thoroughly enjoyable popsike gems from '67, the tracks are very catchy, the instrumentations decidedly "cool" so all the elements in place, it's a real grower with repeat plays ...
Afterglow were born out of the garage band, The Medallions in Chico, California. They signed to a small MTA label and released their only LP in 1967. The album features mostly psychedelic pop-melodic infused rock songs, topped off by an extremely psychedelic gem called "Susie's Gone."
Most new explorers of late 60's psychedelia are first exposed to this band on some comp or another that contains their very strange and disturbing "Susie's Gone". This is indeed overtly psychedelic, with innovative use of discordant guitar and heavily echoed vocals - a real stunner! Consistently, the LP is pretty good ~ great, it features great period flavor, and pleasant vocal harmonies, and will certainly appeal to fans of 60's rock rarities. There are strong psychedelic influences on other tracks besides "Susie's Gone" but nothing as extreme as that.
Afterglow's debut album is a one great psych pop album mostly due to the hypnotizing organ. In case you're interested in this kind of music we would recommend you to check out songs "Morning", "Love" and "Mend This Heart of Mine" as examples here. This record is well worth of a listen and deserves a place in any serious music collection when talking lost '60s rock collectibles.

CONDITION: The cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) solid all over, touch of shelf wear is SO minor, see photo, looks great ... 4 sharp corners, very colorful...tiny bb delete drill at top left, back cover is M- total clean, DJ. stamp means it was a radio promo. There are no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy!!!
The vinyl: Rated: While both sides play graded M- CLEAN, visually it's VG, with very light but visual scuff lines, nothing deep at all, just scuffs like fingernail, or similar meaning the grooves are unaffected and play like a total M- disc. Just carefully played throughout and did not reveal ANY surface problems, so should server as a keeper collectible ... both MTA labels are clean
