1965 imported white label Red Bird demo of Sidney Barnes You'll Always be In Style/I'm so glad. It has been part of my northern soul collection for over 40 years, not played since the late 1970's (I played it recently to check the quality for selling). It is in good vintage condition and plays well. The A side ('I'm so glad') shows no signs of ever having been played as it was not the northern soul hit. (At first we thought this side ended abruptly (rather than faded out), but having adjusted our stylus, no it does not: thus amended this listing). The other side (officially the B side): You'll always be in style is in good visible order (minor signs of having been played), evidence of the DJ sticker having been removed, and plays well.
I can find just one other of this version for sale at the present time and that one is located in the USA.
There seem to be a lot of yellow label re-issue copies of this around dating to 2011, this is not one of them! I have checked the label for a release date and can't see one, but research tells me the song was first released in 1965. The code in the dead wax is :LS141-B (YOU'LL ALWAYS BE IN STYLE), and shows a tiny signature: "Bell Sound". For the sake of completeness, the code in the dead wax on the A side (I'M SO GLAD) is LS111/2.
