RARE and great....ORIGINAL 1965 first pressing of the incredible LORDS, Germany's greatest beatrocker bands from the mid sixties, led by the stuttering warble (English) vocals of Lord Uli ... The Lords, a stinging reverb guitar led tight band delivered 11 top 10 singles in Germany and hung around longer than any of the others from the old 'Star-club' beat era...

In 1964 when Beatlemania and the British Invasion swept across the world, they turned into "Germany's First Beat Music Act" and developed their classic style for which they are still known in Germany today. In the period from 1965 until 1969 they had 11 hits in West German pop charts. Their first hit single from 1964 was Shakin' All Over. Their other hits included the great Poor Boy in 1965, Poison Ivy in 1965, Gloryland in 1967, and Rockin' pneumonia in 1967. They also appeared as supporting act of The Kinks and The Who on German tours of the two English bands, and performed on the contemporary TV music program Beat-Club several times. The Lords had a lot of charisma with matching moptop hairstyles in Medieval haircut fashion and taking the formal suit fashion introduced by The Beatles and turning them into waiters' clothing, and dancing in unison high leg kicks as they played (ala Paul Revere & The Raiders)...This attitude led to a rivalry with Hamburg-based band The Rattles and especially their bandleader and producer Achim Reichel who took the contemporary British Invasion-influenced music played by both bands very seriously... The tracks below are played in edgy Brit Invasion style, reverb guitar to the forfront, Uli Lord delivering his unmistakable vocals.

CONDITION: The cover is fragile and delicate and even though not mint is well preserved for the cover as such and from so long ago. Few light handling creases like the old 60's beatrock covers get, nothing bad or pronounced, very collectible VG+(+). With no seam splits, no bends and no writing...
The vinyl is clean VG++ with no more than a few stray top surface nothing scuffs, actually top level for 60's beatrock artifact...plays dynamic!
