The Beatles were forced to go through smaller U.S. labels after Capitol records who owned EMI held off the beatles invasion for more than a year with executives insisting that british bands didn't sell in america.The Beatles released "Introducing the Beatles' on the VJ label and it WAS selling! When Capitol finally released "Meet the Beatles" Vee Jay records were forced to halt production due to lawsuits. Hence,these are VERY hard to find and now valued up to $300-thousands depending on variations! The Cover rates VG+/EX. An absolute beauty!! Frame worthy front cover!! (see photo), Back cover very clean! Bottom seam neatly repaired (VERY unnoticeable) Tiny pen notation in upper corner on rear cover is only readily visible flaw.Binder with printed edge is in excellent shape!! Record has super gloss, A few light marks,one mark goes across about 5 songs on side 2 but does NOT effect play! NO skips or jumps! Sound quality is VG! The record plays great.
