FOR PERSONAL REASONS, I AM LOWERING THE PRICES ON ALL MY VINYL AND AUCTIONS - SOME FAR BELOW COMPETITIVE.  MAKES FOR SOME RARE ITEMS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AT LOW PRICES - THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS FOR COLLECTORS.

THIS IS ANOTHER ULTRA-RARE 1ST EDITION CLASSIC 1964 HOT ROD/SURFING ROCK LP ALBUM BY A GROUP KNOWN AS THE "ASTRONAUTS."  IT IS ENTITLED "COMPETITION COUPE" WITH THE VINTAGE COUPE SHOWN ON THE ALBUM COVER.  
THE SONGS ARE AMONG THE MOST RARE OF ALL THE GREAT SURFING ALBUMS (AND THERE ARE MANY ICONIC SURFING LP's).  
THE ALBUM  COVER  IS IN EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT CONDITION. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NEATLY WRITE HIS NAME ON THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER, BUT OTHERWISE HAS NO MAJOR FLAWS AT ALL.
THE FRONT COVER SHOWCASES THE FAMOUS McMULLEN ROADSTER.  THERE IS A LOT OF HISTORY THERE. 
THE VINYL IS TRULY NEAR MINT (IF NOT MINT) AND IS A REAL PRIZE.  I PLAYED BOTH SIDES, AND IT PLAYED BEAUTIFULLY (LIKE BRAND NEW).  I DON'T SAY THAT IN MY AUCTIONS VERY OFTEN.  I HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME WONDERING HOW A SELLER CAN AUCTION A VINYL RECORD BY "VISUALLY GRADING IT."  I PLAY ALL MY RECORDS, AND THIS PLAYS AS GOOD AS YOU COULD EXPECT. 
YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS RARE ALBUM. IT WAS RECORDED ON THE RCA-VICTOR RECORD LABEL ON THE DYNAGROOVE VINYL.  THE VINYL HAS FULL GLOSS AND IS VERY HEAVY VINYL.  
IF YOU ARE GOING TO OWN THIS RARE ALBUM, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE ONE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NEAR MINT VINYL.  CONDITION DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH THESE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE ALBUMS.
I HAVE POSTED AS MANY PHOTOS OF THE ALBUM AS I COULD.  YOU CAN SEE BY LOOKING AT THE VINYL RECORD AND LABELS THAT THE RECORD CERTAINLY HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED.
