FOR PERSONAL REASONS, I AM LOWERING THE PRICES ON ALL MY VINYL AND AUCTIONS - SOME FAR BELOW COMPETITIVE. MAKES FOR SOME RARE ITEMS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AT LOW PRICES - THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS FOR COLMLECTORS.
THIS IS ANOTHER ULTRA-RARE 1ST EDITION CLASSIC 1962/63 SURFING HOT ROD ROCK LP ALBUM BY A GROUP KNOWN AS "DICK DALE & HIS DEL TONES." IT IS ENTITLED "SURFER'S CHOICE" WITH THE ORIGINAL DELTONE RECORD LABEL SHOWN ON THE ALBUM COVER. YOU DON'T SEE THAT ORIGINAL LOGO ON LATER ISSUES.
THE SONGS ARE AMONG THE MOST RARE OF ALL THE GREAT SURFING ALBUMS (AND THERE ARE MANY ICONIC SURFING LP's). THE ALBUM COVER IS IN AT LEAST EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NEATLY WRITE HIS NAME ON THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE BACK COVER, BUT OTHERWISE HAS NO MAJOR FLAWS AT ALL. SEE PHOTOS.
THE VINYL IS TRULY NEAR MINT AND IS A REAL PRIZE. I PLAYED BOTH SIDES, AND IT PLAYED BEAUTIFULLY ALL THE WAY THROUGH. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS RARE ALBUM. IT WAS RECORDED ON THE ORIGINAL DELTONE RECORD LABEL NUMBERED T-1886.
THE VINYL HAS FULL GLOSS AND IS VERY HEAVY VINYL. IF YOU ARE GOING TO OWN THIS RARE ALBUM, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE ONE IN EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT CONDITION. CONDITION DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH THESE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE ALBUMS.
THE FULL FACTORY GLOSS ON THE VINYL RECORD WAS SO BRIGHT THAT I COULDN'T AVOID THE REFLECTIONS OF THE LIGHT FIXTURES ON THE CEILING. ANY REFLECTIONS YOU MIGHT SEE IN ON THE RECORDS ARE FROM THOSE CEILING FIXTURES - NOT MARKS ON THE RECORDS.
I NEVER HESITATE TO SHOW YOU THE EXCELLENT CONDITION OF THE COMPLETE PACKAGE. I HAVE POSTED AS MANY PHOTOS OF THE ALBUM AS I COULD. YOU CAN SEE BY LOOKING AT THE VINYL RECORD AND LABELS THAT THE RECORD CERTAINLY HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED.
