Description

Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two recorded this record on April 2, 1956 and it was released on May 1, 1956 by Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee.  Sam Phillips was the producer. I Walk the Line was Johnny Cash’s first gold record.  This record is in remarkable condition for its age.  The labels on both sides are in excellent condition.  The record itself has been tested and plays very well with no skips. Very slight surface wear and a few surface scratches that do not affect the record.  The edge is smooth.  There are no chips or damage on the record of any kind.  The record does not have its original sleeve.  A sleeve is provided just to protect the record.

This is a black shellac 10 inch record. 78 RPM.  10” 2 TRACK MONO. First Pressing

Etched in record below the middle label ON THE Get Rhythm side  is SUN  U 190  PP and on the I walk the line side is SUN U 191PP

This record has been in the same family for a number of years. It has not been professionally cleaned.
