RARE 1955 Andy Warhol Cover Art Stowkowski Swan Lake LP
This is a vinyl lp featuring Leopold Stokowski conducting members of the NBC Symphony in a performance of Tchaikowski's Swan Lake, Acts II & III. This is a US pressing, RCA Victor LM-1804, issued in 1955. The cover has a built-in booklet that features sketches by Andy Warhol, who at the time was 27 years old and early in his career, and was hired by RCA to design record covers. The cover is in excellent condition, very crisp - the only detraction is a bit of black marking on the back white cover and one small corner bump at the top right, really minor. The vinyl is visually in VG condition with some visible scratching. I've play tested the record and there is audible background noise, but most noise is covered by the sheer volume of the music. I have cleaned the record with the Disc Doctor's Miracle Record cleaner and sometimes it takes 2 to 3 plays after a cleaning for the effect of the cleaner to fully take place, however, when there is wear/scratching present, no cleaner can correct this. Still, the appeal of this record is in the fact that it was designed by Andy Warhol and the cover is in great condition. Our auctions end on Sunday evening, so I will be in touch with the correct invoice by Monday afternoon, after we have had the chance to carefully package your item.

I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Thursdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to cover the cost of this special US service. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post. If you wish your item to be shipped by USPS in the same week, I would require your paypal payment by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations.

To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.

To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).

I would request any client to get in touch with me upon winning an item, who is NOT able to pay by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so I can get an idea of when to expect your payment.
