RARE RECALLED MARLON BRANDO EPA 535 HOT BLOOD. Vinyl is in VG condition 7+/8. Cover is in 7 condition with no split seams. Back of cover has some reddish stain. This is an ORIGINAL 1953 RCA VICTOR RECORDS U.S. 4-TRACK 7" 45 RPM EP RECORD IN ITS ORIGINAL COVER, containing the four songs performed by Shorty Rogers And His Orchestra from the Marlon Brando movie 'The Wild One' which was originally titled 'Hot Blood'. It is RCA Victor Records U.S. catalog number EPA 535. The story here is that the legendary Marlon Brando movie 'The Wild One' was originally titled 'Hot Blood', but the studio felt that this title would be too inflammatory and the working title of the movie was changed to 'The Wild One'. The first pressings of the soundtrack EP bore the original movie title 'Hot Blood'; these first pressings were recalled and destroyed by RCA Victor after the title of the movie was changed and the cover and label graphics were changed to conform with the new title - A few copies of this EP with the original movie title were sold before RCA Victor had a chance to recall the EP and change the title and graphics, the EP on offer here is one of those SUPER RARE first pressings with the original movie title shown on the EP cover and on the record labels. Tracks: Blues For Brando, Chino, Hot Blood, Windswept. Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Labels have no problems. Condition of cover is a high VG+ with some writing on the back cover in black ballpoint, a little wear along the edges, and a little age discoloration and contact wear. This SUPER RARE RECALLED AND DESTROYED 45 EP would make a cornerstone addition to any Marlon Brando or movie soundtrack record collection!
