Description
Yabby You / Vivian Jackson's classic first album. One of the cornerstones of any serious roots collection.
Guaranteed seventies original in laminated cover.
The first track, Beyond the Hills, is on no other version of this album. The other tracks you'll also find on Conquering Lion or the Jesus Dread compilation, often under a different name, and sometimes in slightly different mixes (e.g. Regular Rock is a minute longer than on Jesus Dread, where it's called Love of Jah).
Check the scan of the back cover for track titles.
The vinyl is in great condition (near mint, if you prefer that terminology), and still absolutely flat.
Even under bright light, only very few tiny, superficial marks are visible. On the whole album, you can hear about half a dozen soft clicks, but they were already there when I bought this record in the seventies. I got this new (not second-hand), and have taken great care of it ever since.
Under very bright light you can also see something that LOOKS like it might be a flaw in the pressing (at the beginning of the B-side), but it's NOT (I checked with headphones, the treble turned all the way up, and still it sounded perfect.)
The laminated cover shows some minimal signs of wear: the edges of the opening are no longer completely sharp, but a little frayed (you can see this in the scan on the upper right-hand side, if you look closely), and the back shows a little ring wear at the top (all of it clearly visible in the scan; there's no ring wear on the bottom half).
But there is absolutely no major damage: No splits, tears or marks.
Both labels are clean (no writing or marks).
Please check out my other stuff. I'm going to auction off quite a few of my dub and roots 45s and albums over the next few months. POSTAGEPriority Post is usually pretty fast, but Economy post takes about two weeks in Europe and even longer to the rest of the world, so you'll need some patience if you go for this option.
I always post the records the day after I receive payment (or even on the same day) - there is nothing else I can do to speed up delivery.
Priority and Economy will have different names on the invoice, because I have not found out how to adapt the invoice accordingly, but I'm sure you'll see which is which.
