THE STORY:

In 1986 when visiting Haight-Ashbury and a very cool record store, I stumbled across this beauty, oooohed & gawked over it, left the store, had a smoke, counted my money, went back in, asked to check out the contents, struggled a bit with the expense ... and then BOUGHT IT  !  Since I had most of the Ralph stuff already, I planned to pack away this gem for some time, but first I outfitted each vinyl with a poly-lined inner sleeve, and each cover with a poly outer-sleeve to keep these gorgeous little colour sleeves in extra fine condition, as encountered.  I added three extras in, to fill the box nicely without any wiggle room, and now uncovered it almost two decades later.  The velvet box has minor depression marks here and there on the soft pink velvet, as it did back when I acquired it and thus should be rated excellent, while all the innards definitely earn a near mint.  This is a visual, as well as an acoustical rating, as I just listened to the entire load today, on my excellent stylus and fine turntable, and boy what fantastic sounds and wonderful music.  RALPH RULES ... and this is Gringo-Ralph - not Euro-Ralph, straight from San Fransisco....well....almost......

NOW - what more could you possibly desire ?

Quality grading explanations for Covers / Discs

•  NM – near mint - near perfect, looks as good as just released, bought and just unwrapped.  Very minor shipping and handling / storing blemishes, usually restricted to covers, are acceptable - as well as near perfect looking and sounding disc surfaces.
• EX – excellent - typically ( decade/s ) old-er releases, recordings that have been well cared for with only superficial signs of use and storage that don’t diminish cover artwork nor affect playback corresponding to the medium. ( Never expect a “quiet” vinyl recording to sound like a digital CD ) Only well cared for items qualify here and will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

• PG – pretty good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear, i.e. cosmetic blemishes and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but overall in good / decent enough shape for the completist to fill a gap in the collection or to obtain a musical piece of history just nowhere else available.
• VU – very used - significant wear and marks on either cover and/or disc, usually quite noticeable surface noise.  Defects will be described or shown in photos.  

Recording package descriptions, abbreviations

• djt = dj timing strip - white sticker on cover detailing titles and playing time)
