The record has been play-graded by me and is in very good plus (VG+) condition, with a brief and polite click on the intro groove before track 1, side 1 and with a very faint scuff mark on track one, side two which in no way affects play; the record label and central hole are mint

The sleeve is also in very good plus (VG+) condition, with a tiny rip and other slight signs of use along the opening, and faint bruising on the information spine. The inner sleeve is the original and shows the slightest signs of use

I use the grading sytem that was first developed by Goldmine Records and today is generally considered the definitive method for assesing the quality of both record and sleeve

I have tried to give as accurate a grading as possible but if for any reason you are unhappy with the condition of your item then please don't hesitate to contact me so that we can resolve the matter

You are looking at a great record in great condition, originally bought by me during my time as a dedicated teenage indie kid which, along with most of the other records i am selling, has been played, loved, nurtured and above all enjoyed in one way or another

After all the years of listening to my parents' excellent music collection at home, I approached the doorstep of my 5 year secondary school sentence with the desire to build on those foundations and carve my own identity, already well versed in the barely containable buzzing you can feel on first coming across something so fresh and exciting that your mind and body threaten to leave you there - ecstatically writhing on the floor - FOREVER (one such moment would have been the time I saw Ian Dury perform "Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll" on Top Of The Pops way back whenever it was; I was young and barely remember it, but I can still FEEL the feeling that that moment inscribed in me oh yes)

So I meet lots of other kids and we soon realise our true connections and inevitably go crazy reading music papers together, scan the airwaves for new sounds (thanks a million John Peel), try and outdo each other on a daily basis and generally alienate girls and education in the process...what the heck, we knew it wouldn't last forever (not the girls bit anyhow)

Then one day, during our lunch break, we stumbled across a humble record shop off the main street of our grubby rural town (we were pretty much all village kids back then) and that cemented it! We were all going to become music junkies from now on! EVERY DAY I went there and pretty much every day I came home to my little room with my little all-in-one record player and sat listening to my shimmering new private slab(s) of joy, searching the grooves for something that would speak to me, something I could lose myself in; scrutinising the cover for every last drop of information or simply enjoying the visual feast that is a record cover and inner sleeve

Some of it was crap - leaving me briefly mortified - some of it was alright - but somehow didn't merit a second spin - SOME of it hit me like nothing else (didn't Bob Marley sing something about that..?) - and continues to do so to this day, sending that delectable shiver down my spine over and over again

So, what is the point of all this background piffle? Well, like I said earlier, I quickly made a pact with myself that collecting music was going to be my THING and within that agreement I weaved a promise to NEVER EVER sell a single piece of vinyl that I laid my grubby little paws on, whether good or bad, instant or lasting; I was charting an historical map: an atlas of my record - buying behaviour, something that perhaps future generations would puzzle and marvel over (perhaps future generations of my own for that matter)

Well, how things change, eh? Don't get me wrong, I still am an avid collector of vinyl - although perhaps not quite as prolific as back then, and I still feel the shivers at certain times and can say with some certainty that I always will, but how life spreads out from all this: to other considerations, situations and to other people; I still make sure there is some time in the day that I am able to retreat into my own space and immerse myself in all things music but the time has come to accept that a compromise is to be made: I am going to have to purge some of my record collection and oh how I have wrangled with this notion! But there simply is not enough space in my music room (I am well aware that not everyone even HAS a music room) and not enough space IN MY LIFE for all the records so some are having to go...

To look on the positive side, these here records that I am selling hold so much more than their monetary value and they are simply not getting as much attention from me as they deserve, so I am releasing them from my flock so that they can fly off to a better and more attentive home and continue to experience the love that they unquestionably deserve

But in some way I hope it has shed some light on this lovely clutch of songs and the life they've had so far and helps you - the lucky bidder - to make a good choice and get something that you will love and enjoy as much as I did...

All records will be sent out in solid card mailers, with the vinyl outside of the sleeve and including cardboard stiffeners to protect the vinyl and sleeve from any potential damage while in transit
