A few years ago, I came across the guy whose job it had been, to paste up posters around Adelaide from about 1976 till early 2001...and of each run of posters he was commissioned to deal with, there were nearly always one or two left over, and he had never thrown out any since then...it was an amazing find, and I was lucky enough to buy ALL of them, many of which would never have survived otherwise and many which have NEVER been offered for sale before
...anyway this is one of that collection:
RADIO BIRDMAN
official poster, made by the band in early 1977...a few were sold, and a few used to write gig details on (but in truth, they only actually played a very few gigs at the time this was made as both Pip, and Deniz especially, had to be careful not to be too public about performing...on warnings from their medical school)
Impossibly rare!
…a guaranteed ORIGINAL…(not under any circumstances a re-print…this is indeed the real thing)…has some minor crinkling, and some well-repaired edge tears - mostly on the edge only, except for one at lower left (see scan)...it's in pretty good condition really, and will look fantastic framed!!
MEASUREMENTS: 58cm. wide x 87cm. tall (approximately 23" x 34" [inches])
Postage within Australia is AU$6.95 (bearing in mind, the sturdy tube costs over $2 alone)...to UK, & Europe, it's GBP5.95 (a.k.a. AU$12.95), or to the USA, it's US$11.30 (see below for more postage info, including good news about postage FREE for additional posters)
