Rare Obscure 78 RPM 10" Big Records 601 M- The Voices Three 1st Release NR
Big Records, a small short-lived record company, cut records with Simon & Garfunkel, who, back in the late 50s, were known as Tom & Jerry.
Paul Simon said, in his Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony:
I thank Sid Prosen who owned a tiny little label called Big Records who signed
Art Garfunkel and me to our first recording contract. He called us Tom & Jerry
and our record was "Hey Schoolgirl". We were 16 years old.

Big was started by Sid Prosen, music publisher, and head of Village Music and Hometown Music. In early 1955, according to page 16 of the May 14, 1955 edition of The Billboard newsweekly paper, Big Records 1st release featured The Voices Three.

The Voices Three (Big) perk up the new label with a solid r & b item called “Coo, Coo, Coo” and back it with a good ballad. “Call Me Darling, My Darling.” They have a good sound.
I've tried to find another Big Records 78 with no luck, let alone in the fabulous condition of this one. I think this is a significant find.
Record appears unplayed, and is visually graded. Labels have no marks. Looks like factory defect around spindle hole at the 3 or 4 O' Clock position.
No sleeve with this one.
