Kizuna (KIZUNA)", a special best live album selected by Japanese fans and planned to commemorate Queen + Adam Lambert's concert in Japan this February, will be released on 2LP! The CD of the same title has already been released in advance on January 31, and now the long-awaited 2LP release will be cut by Miles Showell, mastering engineer at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios in London and an expert in half-speed mastering.
Four years ago, when Queen + Adam Lambert visited Japan, a special album “Greatest Hits in Japan” was released featuring the top 12 most popular songs voted by Japanese fans, and this special album “Kizuna ( The album will be released on CD and LP, featuring the top Queen live tracks as voted by Japanese fans, and will be available from November 15 (Wed.) to November 30 (Thu.), 2023 on Universal Music's special website. Vote for your favorite Queen live track! The final 16 tracks will be selected based on the results of the “Vote for your favorite Queen live track! In principle, Queen fans living in Japan can vote for two songs from each of the 150 songs on the last six live albums released by Queen. The final number of votes received was 6,886.
Originally, the KIZUNA 2LP was scheduled to be released simultaneously with the CD on January 31 to commemorate the Queen + Adam Lambert concert in Japan this February, but Abbey Road Studios mastering engineer Miles Showell decided to cut the LP master at short notice, so the KIZUNA 2LP was released once again. However, the release was cancelled due to the sudden decision of Miles Showell, mastering engineer at Abbey Road Studios, to cut the LP masters, but a new release date has finally been set. The mastering engineer, Miles Showell, will be cutting the LP masters, which will give you a different sound image from the CDs.
