DESCRIPTION: Queen- A Day At The Races. Complete 1st UK press with thick heavyweight gate fold sleeve, die cut inner and matrix ending -1U/3U and stamped "STERLING" in awesome condition. Sold to me as unplayed. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: EMTC 104. YEAR OF RELEASE: 1976: COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX+/EX+. Vinyl is super clean with a great sheen. Tilted to light it has a couple of tiny brushing lines from removal from the thick card die-cut inner. Played majority of this today on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Plays a lot better than EX generally . Music is clean, vibrant, clear and loud. I could not detect any static, even between the tracks i played. It has around 6 soft ticks in the intro to "You Take My Breath Away", again there is not even any static in this track. You have also probably seen this album cover 100 times, but you will not have seen many as good as this. Its closer to NM than EX. It retains fantastic shape. It is firm and square and has negligible edge wear , negligible corner wear and negligible creasing. Immaculate inside to gatefold sleeve. Spine retains full width and has fantastic shape. Die- cut inner has absolutely minimal wear apart from a 2" split to one side. Super clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
