Queen : The Miracle A1/B2 1st Press

This first pressing plays to a fantastic standard and I don't think I have seen or heard better!  There is no interference and the clarity and depth of the audio is stunning.  A FINAL UPGRADE pressing of that I am certain.

The cover is also in great condition with barely any shelf wear and the lyric inner is pristine.

 Visual grading

The vinyl is in beautiful condition and has an immaculate glossy sheen.  At first glance it looks 'as new'!  Only on closer inspection can you see a handful of mega faint sleeve removal hairlines but they of course have no bearing on the stunning quality of the audio.  There is hardly any spindle wear and there is even a little vinyl 'flecking' around the spindle hole more or less confirming that it has been hardly played.  The run out grooves and labels are also in superb condition.

Play grading

'Party' and 'Khashoggi's Ship' both play with a clarity and power that can only be described 'as new'.  There is no interference at all not even a solitary dust tick!  The audio is of a Mint standard and the definition of the audio is what really stands out here.  Each note can be heard with sublime precision and it is obvious this vinyl has hardly ever been on a turntable!

'The Miracle' I am delighted to say is of exactly the same quality with no 'background' to be heard.  No more needs to be said!  This is quite simply audio of the highest order, no audio deterioration whatsoever.

'I Want It All' plays with immense power and again the clarity just could not be any better.  There is no distortion and it quite simply plays as Mint from start to finish.

'The Invisible Man' ends the stunning side with, you guessed it, stunning quality!  The depth across the entire side is equal to that of an unplayed vinyl and nowhere is that more evident than on this track.  In other words there is no 'muddiness' to the sound and the bass level could not be any clearer.  The fade out has no 'background' of any kind and that is rare for any final track.

I always find that the intro on 'Breakthru' has some static or crackle so I am pleased to say there is barely any here and the playback really is very impressive.  The static is so light and totally non-intrusive - another indication the vinyl has hardly been played.  As the tempo increases there are a couple of mega light static ticks but they hardly qualify as interference as they are so insignificant.  From then on the audio cannot be faulted and plays with amazing precision.  So a Near Mint- intro with the remainder playing as Mint in my opinion.

'Rain Must Fall' is another track that plays with perfect clarity from beginning to end.  The depth of the audio is incredible and the bass is so strong in the mix which is not surprising for a Deacon song I guess!  There is just a minor hint of light static at the end of the fade out.

The intro on 'Scandal' is super 'clean' with only the absolute minimum of light static.  Thereafter the audio is 100% stunning!  The sonic quality is so impressive and there is no 'background' at all.  This is pure Mint unadulterated audio that plays with incredible precision to the very last note.  What a version!

If I've heard a better version of 'My Baby Does Me' I can't remember when that was!  There is not even a dust and this is easy to grade as Mint as there is not one iota of interference.

The classic 'Was It All Worth It' ends the album in fine style with 'high end' audio.  The slow build up on the intro is fantastically clean with no intrusive 'background' - just 2 or 3 of the quietest dust ticks imaginable!  Once May's guitar work comes in the power and depth is immense and it continues to play in exactly the same manner.  There is no inner groove distortion and again I just cannot believe what I am hearing!  Has this track ever been played?!  There are no negatives as it just plays with sublime power and clarity throughout.  The 'orchestral' section is faultless and to the end this time warp classic plays 'as new' and even the final synth section plays with perfect precision.  What a fantastic finale to this album!

In summary this FINAL UPGRADE ARCHIVE first pressing may well be the most stunning example of its kind that I have ever heard!  There is just no intrusive interference of any kind and obviously there are no clicks or pops.  There is barely any static and even when there is some it can hardly be called static as it is so quiet and totally non-intrusive.  This is audio of the highest quality that would impress any avid Queen collector.  The iconic cover is also in lovely condition and the lyric inner is pristine.  A stunning 'package' without question.

The Cover

This iconic cover is in superb condition with barely any shelf wear.  The edges and spine are super clean with no rubbing at all and the corners are also in great shape with only minimal creasing on the lower ones.  The opening edge has very little handling wear.  The front cover is very clean with only a couple of very small and faint scratch marks and the back cover is even better with no wear of any kind.  Overall this is a fine example of this now 30 year old cover.

Lyric Inner

This is in pristine condition with no marking, creasing or side splits.  It looks 'shop fresh'!

The Labels

They are in fantastic condition with only two mega faint spindle traces on S1 and just the one on S2!  As stated there is still the remnants of some vinyl 'flecking' around the spindle hole.  This is a record that has hardly been on a turntable!
