QUEEN / RICKY NELSON Unknown 1978 MISPRESSED Bicycle Race 45 w/ Picture Sleeve
Queen - Bicycle Race / Fat Bottomed Girls (Elektra 45541)
1978 original 7" red label 45 with picture sleeve.
This looks like a normal pressing of this single. However, this copy is a strange mis-pressing. While the 'B' side plays the Queen song as normal, the 'A' side plays "Young Emotions" by Ricky Nelson.
In 1973, United Artists Records released several "Silver Spotlight" reissues of Ricky Nelson Imperial Records hit singles. One was U.A. 0075 "Teen Age Idol"/"Young Emotions". Apparently, a factory mix up of masters at the pressing plant created this rarity which plays Ricky Nelson on one side and Queen on the other.'A' side matrix numbers reads "UA-11078 and "K-3890". 'B' side matrix numbers read "ES-45541-Y-4-AR" and "R-3923" and "RTB" and "STERLING".
Condition: Disc VG, Picture Sleeve VG+
Important notes about our grading:
We grade conservatively, accurately and honestly. S/S, M, M- (NM), VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, WBR (Poor). We do not use EX (many dealers' EX would be our VG).
Vinyl has light paper scuffs, but no deep scratches. Both sides play very well, with some background noise. Labels discolored due to water exposure. Labels discolored.
