Queen : One Year Of Love 12'' Maxi-Single (France - EMI Pathe Marconi)

This very collectable and rare 12'' single from France is in excellent condition overall but with a mark on S2.

The classic 'One Year Of Love' on S1 plays with beautiful audio from the start.  There is one faint click about one minute in but apart from that the sound quality is of the highest standard, it is absolutely immaculate.  99% plays 'as new'!  'Gimme The Prize' begins superbly with barely any static and plays with tremendous power.  After 45 seconds there are a number of light clicks but happily due to the music being so loud they are very quiet and 2/3 of them are what I would call obvious.  The interference isn't particularly intrusive.  They are caused by this small 'mark' which does look a little strange.  It is white and appears as if some substance has been spilled onto the surface.  Anyway, as I say, it doesn't actually cause much interference.  Following that the audio plays with stunning power and definition and with no other 'background'.  'Seven Seas Of Rhye' is without fault and has no clicks or pops, a superb listen.

The vinyl is visually in great condition apart from the aforementioned mark on S2.  S1 is in superlative condition with only a very small number of very faint hairlines and has a stunning glossy sheen.  At first glance it looks like new!  Apart from the 'mark' S2 is in very similar condition with hardly any hairlines and again has a lovely glossy sheen.  There are no scratches on either side.  The labels have no spindle wear so perhaps it has never been played?

The EMI Pathe Marconi cover is in very good condition but with some wear.  The edges and spine have a little rubbing and the front cover, whilst very clean, does have a wavy look to it top right.  The back cover is again very clean but there is a scuff mark on the photography/design credits and a small scrape mark just by the bottom edge.  The original 'Pathe Marconi' inner sleeve is in excellent shape with only one minor tear and a little creasing.
