I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NICE COLLECTION OF UNIQUE PROMOS / TEST PRESSING AND ACETATE. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN A MAJOR RADIO STATION FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE EARLY 1990'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING ACETATE ETC.. OF ROCK / PUNK / SOUL / PROG ETC... SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES.
This is a RARE WITHDRAWN PROMO ONLY UK SINGLE by the band QUEEN from 1984, ORIGINAL UNPLAYED PRESSING AND A MUST !!! The single was withdrawn and only promo copies have survived as they were send to radio stations and reviewers before the release was withdrawn !!! The sleeve for some reason lists 3 songs on the single, but the vinyl only has 2 songs !!! The labels have "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY NOT FOR RE-SALE" printed on them !!!
The single was pressed in 1984 on EMI RECORDS, catalogue number QUEENDJ 5. The MATRIX NUMBERS ARE ALL MACHINE STAMPED and are: SIDE 1 - QUEEN DJ 5A-1-1-1-1 and D machine stamped and NICKZ etched, SIDE 2 - QUEEN DJ 5AAB-1-1-1 and D machine stamped.
The tracks are: MAN ON THE PROWL / THANK GOD IT'S CHRISTMAS. The single comes with the ORIGINAL SLEEVE and the condition is: VINYL is in MINT- /EX+++++ condition (UNPLAYED), P/S is in EX+++++ condtion (LIKE NEW).
This collection came from a major UK radio person who worked in a major UK radio station from the late 60's to the late 90's all the copies were ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUES or PROMO COPIES !!!
DON'T LET THIS RARE ORIGINAL UK PROMO ONLY VERSION QUEEN 7" get away as you will NEVER see another one.
