GREATEST HITS III (Limited Edition No 10010)

This is the very rare and now highly collectible Greatest Hits III released as a double vinyl LP.  Being the limited edition it was issued with the pvc sleeve that surrounds the cover with the Queen name and crest embossed on the front and the guys minus Freddie on there also.

Visual grading

Both vinyls have that glossy sheen of as when first purchased and play superbly well.  There is a very small collection of faint hairlines at beginning of Side One and a thicker hairline on 'You Don't Fool Me' on Side Two.  I only mention this for completeness because they do not have any affect on the audio quality at all. 

The second vinyl just has one tiny mark on the first track of Side One but other than that looks absolutely perfect under a strong light with no hairlines to be seen.

Play grading

Side One begins with some lead in static but stops once 'The Show Must Go On' starts.  Thereafter the audio is of the highest quality and plays beautifully.  There is no need to go into detailed descriptions of each track as suffice to say the audio is stunning throughout.  'Heaven For Everyone' on Side Two just has the faintest of static during the intro.

  There is a little lead in static on 'Driven By You' but then continues with impeccable sound.  The audio across both sides plays with a depth and clarity that is second to none.  For an LP approaching 20 years old this has been extremely well looked after.  Both of the vinyls have been housed in anti-static sleeves which has no doubt helped in retaining their quality.

Cover

The limited edition cover is in wonderful condition, practically Mint with only a handful of tiny creases around the edges.  The edges themselves and the spine and opening edge are in superb shape.  As can be seen the limited edition number 10010 is printed on the reverse side.

PVC plastic sleeve

It remains in excellent condition with only a sticker mark on the reverse and a tiny split on the top right hand side.  So many of these have large splits but this one is only 0.5 cms long!

Picture sleeves

The first picture sleeve is in perfect condition and the second just has a very small amount of creasing towards the bottom.

Labels

  The labels are in perfect condition.
