Greatest Hits I A1/B1

This genuine first UK pressing plays with excellent audio and is detailed below.  Whilst this LP was pressed in massive numbers it is relatively rare to find an A1/B1 press in this condition.

Visual grading

There are a few faint sleeve removal hairlines on each side but overall it is in excellent order for an A1/B1 first pressing.  It has always been carefully handled and there are no scratches or markings.

Play grading  

'Bohemian Rhapsody' on S1 begins with superb audio.  I played every second and the intro is just stunning.  There is no obvious 'background', just a couple of dust ticks and a little light crackle on the end section.  Aside from this it is a wonderful version.  'Another One Bites The Dust' also plays with great clarity and only a handful of dust ticks.  The remainder of the side plays in similar fashion.  There a 3/4 mega light clicks during the 'bells' in 'Bicycle Race' but this is the only interference of any note.  For an A1/B1 pressing it plays very well indeed.

'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' on S2 plays with Mint sound quality from the very first groove.  It is immaculate.  'Somebody To Love' is also very impressive and has only the lightest of static in a few places.  'Now I'm Here' plays loud and true with no distortion, just a little static on the beginning and end.  '...Loverboy' also has a little static on the intro but the rest plays very clearly with no intrusive 'background'.  The remainder of the side impresses with excellent clarity.  Again there is the odd dust tick/static sound but there are no loud clicks or pops and certainly no jumps.  Don't let the static put you off!  It is only sporadic and does not interfere with the listening enjoyment :-)

Cover

The cover has some shelf wear but this is mainly on the bottom edge where there is some rubbing.  The top edge is actually very clean and the spine has a couple of rub marks and some wear on the bottom corner.  The opening edge has hardly any handling wear.  The front and back cover are generally very clean with light fading on the latter and a few small  creases around the edges.

There are three fingernail type scratch marks on one side, otherwise it is in near perfect condition with no splits or creases.

The labels

They are in superb condition with no marking or writing and not a great deal of spindle wear.
