Description

                             *Special Notice*

I will be thinning out my music collection, as I'll be moving soon to start a new job. Check back often for new listings on vinyl, CDs, vintage rock magazines, and other cool collectibles! Now on to details of this auction...

British rock superstars Queen released album number seven in 1978. It continued their love of different types of music, and gave the world the big hits "Fat Bottom Girls", "Bicycle Race", and "Don't Stop Me Now". In 1979, a special, limited edition picture disc LP was released from France. There were two versions made. One with a black rim and white bicyclists, and the other had a white rim and black bicyclists. The white rim seems to be a bit more rare, but I'm not exactly sure on the number of each version released.

This became a pirated item, but the counterfeits are easy to spot. They have a much brighter pink on the word Jazz on the A side. Almost violet in color. The back looks like a photo-copied pic of the band, with a weird, washed out color, instead of the clear, crisp pic. The back of the pirated die-cut sleeve has a rough, matted, grey looking finish. The authentic copies have a smooth, white finish. Again, it's easy to spot the fakes...

If you would like pics of the dead wax matrix numbers, let me know. I'd be happy to send them to you. The authentic item has specific numbers and codes, and I've checked online, and on Queen encyclopedia sites, and these match up!

On the auction block today is an awesome Queen bundle, with an authentic copy of that official French picture disc LP of 'Jazz', in its original die-cut sleeve (with the shrinkwrap still on)! If you would like pics of the dead wax matrix numbers, let me know. I'd be happy to send them to you. The authentic item has specific numbers and codes on the vinyl, and I've checked online, and on Queen encyclopedia sites, and these match up!

But wait, there's more! Lol I'll also include a gatefold copy of the 'Jazz' album, on standard black vinyl, and the nude lady cyclist poster intact! But I'm still not done yet...

I'll throw in a special CD of extended mixes of some of Queen's best loved songs! They're not some weird, techno versions of the hits. (Though a couple have some flashes of that.) They're mostly just extended 12" remixes, and they are all pretty good! Bought this one a few years back from an overseas seller. It's actually quite good! Definitely easy to dance and work out to!!

And rounding out this incredible listing, you'll get (at least) a couple of rock magazines with awesome Queen articles! First up is a 2019 issue of 'Classic Rock' magazine, published and printed in the UK. Now our friends across the pond know a thing or two about rock music, and this magazine is top notch and really great! With TONS of articles and glossy color photos! Last, we have a 2005 issue of 'Guitar Legends', and it's nearly an ENTIRE issue about Queen! With sheet music for some of Queen's best loved songs, MANY articles, pics, and interviews! BOTH magazines are in great shape, and have no rips or tears, dog-eared pages, or handwriting anywhere on them!

The vinyl picture disc looks really good, with only a couple of very light surface marks that I can see. Nothing bad, and hardly noticeable. No scratches, gouges, or scuffs on it! The die cut sleeve is looking rough, and is warped. That could have been caused by moisture, or the fact that the shrinkwrap was never taken off. (That happens sometimes with shrinkwrap. It eventually shrinks, and takes the jacket with it!) The standard LP is the gatefold sleeve jacket version. The vinyl looks really nice. (I can actually spin it if anyone wants me to. The standard black vinyl. Not the pic disc. I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records.) The poster looks really good, too; with no rips, tears, pinholes, or handwriting on it! (See pics for a photo of the poster.)

And if the bidding gets above, say, $60 or so, I'll add a couple more goodies to the package, such as a live Queen concert DVD, (I'll let you pick out one of a few that I have), and maybe a picture sleeve record or two. Maybe even another Queen rock magazine! The world still loves Queen, and we love our Queen collectibles and merchandise!

For shipping, just select the lower cost Media Mail rate, and I'll upgrade you to Priority Mail shipping, for free! I'll also insure this package for the sale price, just in case something happens in transit. (Which seems to happen occasionally with Media shipping. Not at all with Priority shipping.)

If you have questions or concerns, please let me know, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Payment is requested within 48 hours of the auction's end, please. I'm usually flexible on this, but please ask me first, if you need more time to make payment. Once you receive your items, please allow me to make it right if there are any issues. I'm an active member of the Ebay community, and I buy, as well as sell, so buy with confidence! Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care, be safe, and stay healthy!
