This is a immaculate MINT- condition ADVANCED WHITE LABEL UK TEST PRESSING of a brilliant album containing Queen's two superb 1973 sessions recorded for the BBC, this advanced white label issue was only ever pressed in very tiny quantities, a very minute amount do exist with a proof sleeve of which the front and back covers were just two 12" sheets: the front sleeve was printed on photo paper and the back sleeve printed on normal paper, the colours used for the mega-rare proof cover were slightly different to those of the commercially available Band Of Joy release, it is highly unlikely that the miniscule amount with the proof sleeve will ever surface for sale so this original UK test pressing issue without is the next best thing. It's a pretty plain looking item so i have made and printed a A4 insert and also included nine pages with the lyrics to all eight tracks, these printed lyrics include any changes that were made to the original album versions of which there are a few very noticeable ones.

This excellent rare album contains some stunning sounding alternate versions to some of Queen's best harder edged heavy rock tracks, some of the longer heavy tracks such as 'Liar' & 'Son And Daughter' sound superb and would appeal to progressive rock fans as well as Queen fans.

             Tracks 1-4 were recorded on February 5th 1973
             Tracks 5-8 were recorded on December 3rd 1973

Both sides of the original thick vinyl are in immaculate condition, there are no surface marks to mention at all as both sides look mint even in bright light, both sides play and sound a superb excellent+ throughout with excellent clean and clear sound quality throughout with barely any light crackle at all. This very rare Queen album has only ever had just 1 or 2 careful plays and will definitely not disappoint and will never need upgrading.

Both white labels are very clean nad bright, the label to side two has been stamped with the code 00010 and the other label is blank apart from a few very tiny red ink marks.

The vinyl comes in a plain white die-cut paper sleeve which is as new, on one side it has the same 00010 stamp as the label, the outer white card sleeve is excellent but with some very minor discolouring. These are the original sleeves that the album came in after being pressed.

I have also printed out nine pages with the lyrics to all album tracks, these nine A4 sheets includes any changes in lyrics to that of the original album versions and as already mentioned there are a few very noticeable ones.

This is just brilliant condition very rare UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING that would make a superb addition to any serious Queen collection.
