Description
QUEEN A NIGHT AT THE OPERA.
RARE “MR BLAIR” EDITION.
VINYL 1975.
I bought this album when it was first released in the UK in 1975.
and have carefully looked after it all these years.
It is in an excellent condition.
This copy of the vinyl is the rarer, much sought after 'Mr Blair's Cut' which has been hand-etched into the run-off, together with an even rarer 'Nick Z' etching, which can both be seen in my photos. and is regarded as the best sounding release of the album on vinyl.
"A Night At The Opera" is the fourth studio album by legendary British rock group, Queen; released in November 1975. The album was the most expensive album ever recorded at the time of its release, and was a huge commercial success. "A Night At The Opera" has been voted by the public and cited by music publications as "one of Queen's finest works". It contains such classics as 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'You're My Best Friend'.
Chris "Mr Vinyl" Blair joined the Abbey Road Studios in 1969, eventually rising to become the studio's Chief Mastering Engineer. Throughout his career he worked with some of the most respected bands and artists in the music industry. He started in the early days as a tape operator on The Beatles' "Abbey Road" album, before moving on to mastering singles, albums and CDs for the likes of Queen, Pink Floyd, The Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, Radiohead, Sting and many others.

Additional condition comments
Gatefold sleeve both inside and out is in truly excellent condition with very slight discolouration to the white sleeve around the edges. The spine of the sleeve is in near new condition. The inner picture sleeve is in near mint condition. The vinyl is in another white paper sleeve which has some minor rips. Vinyl record shows little sign of being played considering its age, and sounds simply fantastic.
