Pussy Galore: Exile On Main St, Vinyl, The Peace Killers, 1987 Exile on Main St. is an album by American noise rock band Pussy Galore, released in 1986. It is a track-by-track cover album re-interpreting the Rolling Stones' 1972 album Exile on Main St. Its only official release format was the cassette tape. 

Pussy Galore was an American garage rock band formed by students at Brown University in 1984. They had a constantly fluid line-up until their demise in 1990. Their sound was inspired by The Rolling Stones and Einstürzende Neubauten. In 1967, on a dare from Sonic Youth, they released a limited-edition cassette cover album of the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St. 

While Pussy Galore's version is an intentionally deconstructionist approach to remaking the original album, most of the songs on the album remain recognizable and reconcilable to their original versions. In addition to the general chaos, purposeful distortion, and incomprehensible mixing and editing, the record also contains bits of dialog from the band members arguing and yelling at one another.

This is a reissue of some of the material from that original cassette on the record label, The Peace Killers.
This is the original 10 inch US release from 1987. It comes in its original paper sleeves (see photos).

 This record has never been DJed and is in good condition.

On Side A, we have the Julia Cafritz voicemail. Then there are slight crackles during the opening tuning up of track 2, 'Rip this Joint'. There are slight crackles just before and during the opening chords of track 3, 'Hip Shake'. Finally there are slight crackles between tracks 3 and 4. 
Turn it over to Side B, there are crackles over the 24 seconds intro before the snatch of Italian. Then it goes straight into 'Black Angel'. Between tracks 1 and 2, there are wee crackles. Finally there is the fifth track, introduced by various,unconnected tape loops and conversations, before descending into white noise. Ending with a bit more Cafritz voicemail.
