Description

Up for auction is this very rare single of the Legendary all black Punk band PURE HELL. That's right folks, long before there was Bad Brains, these cheeky little devils blazed the trail of punk rock, when HR was still in diapers. And I ain't talkin about the adult diapers that are all the rage now days, I mean diapers! These bad boyz who came out of Philly in the mid 70's were traveling in some very heavy company, they were good friends with Johnny Thunders & the New York Dolls & with Sid & Nancy & the Sex Pistols. It don't get no heavier than that folks. Also, why I'm touting them out at this particular time is because they have a Jimi Hendrix connection. They were managed by Curtis Knight. In Kathy Knight-McConnell's bio of Curtis Knight, Living In The Shadow Of Jimi Hendrix, Kathy gave Pure Hell a very healthy covering of their involvement with Curtis, pages 60 to 65, also accompanied with 2 awesome pics of Pure Hell. They were booked to go on tour with Sid, when the thing went down with Sid & Nancy that put an end to the tour & pretty much Punk Rock in a whole. But fortunately the 3 remaining members have regrouped & our back in action & their records are extremely Hot in Japan! Vinyl is in good condition with the usual hiss of old vinyl.
