Public Image Ltd. Metal Box. This is the original Metal Box that came out on Virgin in 1979 and was limited to 50,000 copies. The discs are near mint- there is one small scuff on start of Careering that does not affect playback. They all appear excellent and look as though they were played once before being stored away. The audio quality is incredible as well, with only a small amount of surface noise on the run-in. The can has normal oxidation from fingerprints as seen in photos. There are two small dents on the bottom of the can- again, please see photos. The METAL 1 sticker is still on the rear of the can, but the letters are faded. This comes with 5 original circular paper dividers on heavy paper and the A5 tracklist insert; both of which have become harder to find through the years.
Also included is a copy of New Music Entertainment (NME) from December 1, 1979, which has a printed page of lyrics from the album. John Lydon sent the lyrics to a publisher at ZigZag since Virgin wouldn’t cover the cost of printing a lyrics insert; apparently it was published in both ZigZag and NME. The front cover has a tear around halfway down and a name written on the top right corner. All of the pages are present and I’m happy to send more photos.
