Public Image Ltd - Metal Box (Metal 1) Vinyl 3 x 12" 45's

The classic 1979 release of 'Metal Box' by PiL. One of only 60,000 limited editions...and they're getting pretty rare.

This is from 1979 so is 35 years old, but the vinyl is in great shape as seen in the images (there is a reflection from taking the photo...it's not a mark).

The Metal Box is Oxidized, as is the usual form for this release. The metal has a tiny dint, not dent, to the front which is hardly noticeable. The whole package also comes with the original 4 separators and Track list.

The vinyl could probably do with a clean, as the last last time they saw air, before taking them out for the photos, must have been over 30 years ago!

Public Image Ltd (or PiL) are one of those bands that have made a mark on music history and this is an iconic piece of music memorabilia that can be looked upon as not only a superb piece of music, but also as an investment.

Postage will be £5.50 in the UK and will be sent by courier and it may require a signature for delivery. Sorry I have to do this, but I have had items 'go missing' in the post and have lost money. Using a courier will benefit both parties. You get safe delivery, I get peace of mind.

To sum up, this would be a great addition to your collection. The vinyl is in great shape and the Metal Box is what you would expect to see from an untreated 16mm style Metal Box! Public Image Ltd's cult status will only get bigger as time goes by making this release an extra special one.

"The title of the album refers to its original packaging, which consisted of a metal 16mm film canister embossed with the band's logo and containing three 12" 45rpm records. It was designed by Dennis Morris and was innovative and inexpensive, costing little more to the label than the cost of standard printed sleeves for equivalent 12" releases (although Virgin did ask for a refund of 1/3 of the band's advance due to the cost)."
