Description

Migrant Family self-titled LP. Jacket in F- condition, with a large piece torn off in the lower left-hand corner, and overall soiling.  There are two discs with identical tracks, the better of which is perhaps VG- with some light scratches, the other is G- with some heavier scratches, and some groove wear. Also includes a lyric sheet and a letter from one of the members (dated Summer 1970) expressing how the band came together.
Privately pressed LP by the completely unknown late-60s, early 70s folk group Migrant Family.  Very much in the psych-folk genre, featuring all original material. Recorded at Dick Vance Studios in Oakland on December 23, 1970. The jacket is constructed out of cardboard, with a hand-made illustration on the front and credits on the back. Issued on the NJ5 (or No Jive 5) label. Internet searching has revealed nothing about this band nor it's members. In case someone may know more about them, the band members are: Marion Brinkley, vocals & guitar; Elizabeth Tuck, vocals & guitar; Dan Lawler, vocals; Dan Ames, guitar, steel guitar & bass; Peter Rockrise, vocals & guitar; Scott Lochridge, vocals, guitar & bass.
