Description
This is a vinyl pressing of American Blues Is Here on the Karma label, originally pressed in 1968. I'm pretty well convinced that this is a boot. It's pretty exact looking though. What stood out for me & made me think it wasn't original is that the shrink wrap is very thin & it's seam is odd looking. The colors look too good & too bright. The dark blue should be a bit lighter in color I think. The back cover is not a paste-on but it may never have been. In the upper right hand corner on the back cover is a little pink icon of some sort. The labels seem to look the way they should though. Based on those observations I've concluded that this l.p. cannot be an original. The cover is in shrink mostly & is EX. There's a tad of seamwear on the top & bottom seam. A tiny bit of the upper right hand corner has a crease in it. The vinyl is visually VG++.
Like I said, the cover of this l.p. simply looks too good to be an original.
American Blues is perhaps better known for its members than the music itself. This Texas band consisted of Dusty Hill (bass), Frank Beard (drums), Rocky Hill (guitar, vocals) and Doug Davis (keyboards). Of course Dusty Hill and Frank Beard would later go on to hook up with Billy Gibbons from The Moving Sidewalks to form the infamous ZZ Top. Is Here was the bands first long player, issued on the Karma label, American Blues would release one further LP titled Do Their Thing before calling it quits.
( I ship on Saturdays. If you pay me after 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday, your l.p. will not be shipped until the next Saturday.)
Leave me feedback and I will return the courtesy. Delivery confirmation is a must and is worked into the cost of shipping. I accept Paypal only. Gold, precious stones and your first born can be negotiated. If paying by Paypal, payment is expected within 3 days unless other arrangements are made. Insurance will be provided upon request and is to be paid for by the customer. My overseas customers are very important to me and have given me a lot of support. However, I cannot be responsible for uninsured packages. I do pack well and in a professional manner with standard record mailers. I also place a cardboard support inside the mailer for protection and to help prevent any bending. Records are removed from their covers and both are placed in a protective, clear plastic outer sleeve. It's a tried and true method that has never been improved upon. I do offer refunds if the item you won is not as described. I ship every Saturday.
