Description

Hi, this is a US LP by The J Ann C Trio, "At Tantara", released on Burdland Records 3300. Most of us became aware of this rare and sought after LP due to the old "Incredibly Strange Music" book that ReSearch put out quite some time ago. This one has been in my personal collection for many, many years. As a matter of fact, I found this copy about a year after I got the edition of "ISM" that mentioned it. Those of you looking for this record know what it's all about, so i won't go into great detail about it. I'll just say that it's a totally hip-only-could-have-happened-in-the-60s mixture of Jazz, Garage, Rockabilly, and Lounge with cool guitar and a singer that obviously digs Wanda Jackson. It doesn't work on every track, but when it does, YOW! Best cuts for me are "Jambalaya", "Night Train", "Hey Bo Diddely" (their spelling), "Voo Doo Doll", and "Funnel Of Love". The record is a gorgeous VG++ to VG+++, very high gloss with a few light scuffs and a few spindle trails around the center hole. The cover is NEAR MINT. As I recall, when I got this, it was still in the shrink, but I foolishly removed it as I was want to do in those days. Anyway, it went right from the shrink into a plastic sleeve and into my collection, so this cover has really never seen any wear. Absolutely stunning! I hate to part with this, but unfortunately it's time to thin out the herd that is my collection a little bit. I'm not placing a reserve on it, but bid accordingly. All records are professionally packaged in custom mailer boxes and protected on the inside by filler pads. Shipping discount for multi-item purchases. Check out my other items!
