Prince and the New Power Generation Love Symbol Vinyl LP

Opportunity for a bargain this is an ideal play copy of the brilliant and rare original pressing vinyl LP edition of Prince's early 90's blockbuster Prince and the New Power Generation "Love Symbol" album.
I bought this copy in the late 90s in a second hand record shop and I have used it sparingly as a play copy.  It plays through from start to finish with no skips or pops but it does have a small amount of surface noise, which I will describe below and also the cover is damaged as is obvious from the photos.  It was like this hen I bought it and is in the same condition as from when I bought it.  
It is an ideal play copy of this rare pressing but it does have wear.  Please read the description carefully.  I am a very conservative grader of LPs and prefer to be specific about condition rather than arbitrary grades, which often conceal massive defects.
Cover: Fair/poor condition.  The cover is damaged and is in the same condition as from when I bought it second hand in the late 90s.  It was clearly a gift to someone German because it has "Fur Peterde zum 10 10 92 Gopi" written in biro on the cover.  At some point someone (not me) tried to rub this out, which of course is impossible.  There is also price sticker damage and an enormous split/tear right across the top of the cover.  The single pocket sleeve also has pressure creases, edgewear and also the seller (I assume) tried to cover some a small spot of damage to the cover with black marker (just a tiny spot).  Quite honestly, as terrible as these sound, in a plastic sleeve, all of these flaws are not "dreadful" but this is entirely subjective of course.  The cover is, for all intents and purposes damaged.

Inner sleeves: Fair condition.  Neither of the inner sleeves have writing but both have splits to the bottom of the sleeves-like that when I bought them. The paper is the nasty, thin scratchy paper WB used for all their records in the early 90s and is very thin.  There are creases and finger and thumb marks but absolutely no used copy of this album would not have these.  The first discs inner sleeve also has some wear to the top of the opening-a small nick tear-see photos.  Lps will not be shipped in these sleeves (or in the outer sleeve) to prevent any further damage.  All the text is completely legible.
Discs: Exactly the same as from when I bought them but this as a second hand LP when I bought it.  The discs have never been cleaned and could really do with a wet clean.  There are hair lines on the discs and handling marks as normal for a used record which is almost 30 years old.
Disc 1: No pops, no skips and sounds excellent.  The disc has never been cleaned.  I have played the discs through for this listing.  I noticed a tiny amount of ambient surface noise in the first few seconds of the starts of both sides but otherwise this disc sounds absolutely superb. On the very quiet moments there is some ambient vinyl surface noise.  No scraping or hissing. Very occasional little clicks-I noticed a few little ones on the track "Sweet Baby" but absolutely no pops.
Disc 2: As above.  However, on side 4 there is an interlude of chit chat between Prince and Kirstie Alley (discussing the Crown Princess of Cairo being a member of the NPG-the 90s!).  This interlude has some repetitive clicks throughout due to a scratchy mark on the disc.  There are no skips and it was like this when I bought it.  This interlude is not a song but obviously it is damage so I am grading this disc as being in fair condition.  Apart from the clicks on this interlude, the disc sounds superb.  In the brief silence between "The Continental" and "Damn U" there is a conspicuous single click but I have personally heard 3 copies of this LP in my life and all of them have this click-I think it was a "general" pressing flaw but it is minor.
Opportunity for a bargain-as a play copy and as a listening experience, it is an excellent copy, which you will probably get at a fraction of what this LP usually sells for.  Apart from the clicks on the interlude on side 4, the sound quality is really excellent and as I have said the discs have never been cleaned and would probably sound even better than they do currently but the ticks on the interlude on side 4 is due to a scratchy mark so please bear this in mind.  Also bear in mind the cover is, damaged.  Please don't bid on it if these things are likely to bother you.
