Description

PRINCE Controversy Vinyl LP Early 80s Press IN SHRINK Near Mint Vinyl W/ POSTER

Up for sale is a stunning, beautifully preserved time-capsule copy of Prince's fourth studio album, Controversy, on vinyl. This is an early 1980s US pressing (Catalog BSK 3601) that utilizes the original 1981 master plates, featuring the identical BSK-1-3601 and BSK-2-3601 matrix identifiers in the dead wax for true premium analog sound quality. This copy comes directly from a private collection, was purchased brand new, and has been played exactly two times in its entire life.

CRISP FACTORY SHRINK WRAP & VINTAGE STICKERS:

The original jacket is still safely housed inside its original factory shrink wrap. Complete with the original "Super Saver" retail sticker on the right-hand side and the original $5.44 price tag from the classic shop "Book Strings and Things" on the top left corner. The jacket remains exceptionally sharp and well-preserved beneath the plastic.

VINYL CONDITION:

NEAR MINT (NM) The vinyl itself is in absolute flawless, visually perfect condition with its full original glossy luster. It has only been on a turntable twice and plays clean and clear with beautiful analog fidelity.

INCLUDED INSERT: The original, giant 22" x 33" fold-out shower poster is present, completely intact, and in excellent condition with crisp folds.

A photo is included of the poster, which has never been opened and displayed.

SHIPPING & PACKAGING DETAILS:

I take packaging very seriously to preserve the collector value of this piece. The album will be packed carefully using a professional Gemini cardboard record mailer, with heavy-duty cardboard filler pads placed on both sides to prevent any shift or corner damage during transit. Shipped safely via USPS Ground Advantage.

Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to confirm the remarkable condition of this album before purchasing. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional details.

Thank you!
