Description

Up for auction is a genuine, guaranteed 1991 UK original first pressing of Primal Scream’s era-defining masterpiece, "Screamadelica". Winner of the very first Mercury Music Prize, this is the monumental double album that effortlessly fused indie rock and gospel with the exploding acid house scene of the second summer of love. Produced alongside the legendary Andrew Weatherall, this original 1991 analogue cutting sounds absolutely massive, offering a deep bass response and warmth that modern digital remasters simply cannot touch. Pressing Details & Authenticity

• The Labels: Original 1991 independent Creation Records labels.
• Catalog Code: CRELP 076 (printed on the spine and labels).
• The Deadwax Messages: This copy features the legendary, authentic hand-etched messages scratched into the run-out wax near the center label:
  • Side A: "YOU ONLY GET ONE LINE..."
  • Side B: "DON'T BLOW IT."
  • Side C: "EQUITY IS KILLING ME..."
  • Side D: "I'LL HAVE A CHEEKY HALF."

Honest Condition Report I want to be completely upfront about the condition here. The original glossy gatefold sleeve is a little tatty. It shows honest vintage shelf wear, edge rubbing, and some corner scuffing from storage over the last 35+ years. That said, it is still structurally solid with a legible spine, and there are no nasty ink stains or major tears. Crucially, the two vinyl discs inside have been well cared for and play wonderfully. They retain a beautiful original glossy sheen, showing only a few light cosmetic paper lines under a bright light. Playback is sensational—delivering immense club dynamics and brilliant clarity. You'll get just the usual minor vintage surface quietness during the quiet ambient tracks, but there are absolutely no skips, jumps, or loud clicks. This is a brilliant opportunity to own a top-playing, guaranteed 1991 original analogue package at a fair, listener-friendly price.
