Description
From Wikipedia - Round About Midnight is an album by jazz musician Miles Davis. It was his debut on Columbia Records, and was originally released in March 1957. The album took its name from the Thelonious Monk song "'Round Midnight". Recording sessions took place at Columbia Studio D on October 26, 1955, and at Columbia's 30th Street Studio on June 5 and September 10, 1956.
This is that album. It is an ORIGINAL PRESSING, not a re-release. The record itself is in VG+ to excellent condition. It has no scratches, scuffs, or dirt, but has been played and therefore shows a bit of normal age-related wear. The album cover has a split at the top right, and has an old tape mark from something that was stuck to it in the past (see photo #6). This record has been in my possession since the late 1970s, when it was given to me by the original purchaser. It has always been carefully stored and well taken care of.
It is an exceptional and rare find.
